To establish a total of 9,034 Common Service Centers (CSCs) across all urban local bodies the Government of Andhra Pradesh has introduced a new scheme kindly known as the “Andhra Pradesh Digi-Lakshmi Scheme” in the state. Under this scheme, the government targets Self Help Group women of age 21 to 40 years with a graduate degree and a minimum of 3 years of active participation in SHG membership and sufficient technical aptitude to operate these centers. Andhra Pradesh Digi-Lakshmi Scheme

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has launched a new scheme known as the “Digi-Lakshmi Scheme” with an aim of “One Family One Entrepreneur” in the state. Under this scheme, the government established a total of 9,034 Common Service Centers CSCs across the ULBs in the state. By offering this scheme, the government aims to transition SHGs into Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This scheme is only applicable for those women who have at least three years of active participation in SHG membership and have ample of technical aptitude to operate these centers, each center will deliver around 250 public services. Through the help of this scheme eligible women are able to secure loans of Rs 2 to Rs 2.5 lakh to set up their centers in the state.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Digi-Lakshmi Scheme, applicant must have to meet the following eligibility criteria these are as follows:-

  • Applicants must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh. 
  • Applicants must be a married woman of the state. 
  • Applicants must at least have 3 years of active involvement in SHG membership.
  • Applicant masters have a sufficient technical knowledge to operate the centers.
  • Applicants must hold a graduation degree as an educational qualification.
  • Age of the applying applicant must be between 21 to 40 years. 
  • Applicants must be settled in the operational area of their respective slum level federation (SLM).
