The motive behind launching the Rythu Runa Mafi or Telangana crop loan waiver is to cancel all the loans of the farmers who are not able to pay them back.The government of Telangana created the Rythu Runa Mafi to help the farmers of the state by forgiving their outstanding loans. The Telangana state government states that the initiative can waive an outstanding loan of up to INR 2 lakh. Only Telangana state permanent citizens who work as farmers are qualified to receive the Rythu Runa Mafi benefits. With the aid of this scheme, Telangana State Chief Minister Mr. Revanth Reddy has pledged to waive all outstanding loans by August 15th.
