Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the Thalliki Vandanam Scheme are as given below:

  • The family income should not be more than Rs. 10,000 every month in villages and Rs. 12,000 in cities, or else help can’t be given.
  • At least one person in the house must have a rice card; only then is it allowed.
  • The land that family owns should be less than 3 acres if wet or less than 10 acres if dry or both together must not cross 10 acres.
  • If anyone in the house is having a 4-wheeler, they will not get the benefit, but if it’s a taxi, auto, or tractor, then it is allowed.
  • The electricity used in the house must be below 300 units in a month and for that, 12-month average will be seen.
  • If the family owns a municipal house which is 1000 sq. ft or bigger, then it is not allowed.
  • Any person in the family working in government job or getting pension will not be allowed, but if they earn less than Rs.10,000 in village or Rs.12,000 in city, then they may be allowed.
  • If someone in the family pays income tax, then the benefit cannot be given to them.
  • The mother or guardian must be in the Andhra Pradesh household list, and if not, then checking will be done to see if the child is already there.
  • The child should be studying in Class 1 to 12 in a school or college that is approved by Andhra Pradesh government, private, aided or hostel school is also fine.
  • If the student is in ITI, Polytechnic, IIIT, or gets fee help from another scheme, then they will not get this benefit.
  • Orphans and street kids can also get help if it is confirmed by the department.
  • The mother’s bank account must be linked with Aadhaar so the money can be sent directly.
  • If the student attends school for at least 75% of the time this year, then only help will be given next year.
  • For students in Class 1 and Class 11, money will be given only after they finish the joining process in the new academic year.
