Under this second edition government targets girls students from the Higher Secondary, Under Graduate, Post Graduate, B.Ed., and Integrated Teacher Education Programme courses. This scheme is not just a scheme but a pledge taken by the government to support the dreams and education of every girl child in the state. By offering this scheme government aims to make its fight gets stronger against child marriage by reducing school dropout rates, promoting higher education among young girls, especially from underprivileged backgrounds, and making them educated and independent in the state.

The main purpose of Nijut Moina 2.0 is to increase the enrollment of girl students in the field of higher education by providing financial incentives to them so that they are able to increase their level of education beyond matriculation. Under this scheme government provides financial incentives to girl students from the Higher Secondary, Under Graduate, Post Graduate, B.Ed., and Integrated Teacher Education Programme courses in the state. Eligibility Criteria
To become a part of this Nijut Moina second edition, applicant needs to meet the following eligibility requirements and these are as follows:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Applicant must be a girl student of the state.
- Applicants who are married girls will not be eligible for the scheme except those in the P,G, and B.Ed. category.
- Girls from all families, irrespective of their economic condition, are eligible for the scheme.
- In-service girls, admitted to B.Ed.A course on deputation will not be eligible for the scheme. Daughters of Ministers and MLAs are not eligible for the Nijut Moina scheme.

Financial Benefits
- Under this scheme, girl students of Class 11 will receive financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month.
- Those in degree first year courses will get ₹1,250 per month and those in post-graduation and B.Ed will receive ₹2,500 per month directly into their bank accounts.
